SigScribe4 Symbols

All the symbols used to represent track, signalling, and lever elements are shown on a separate page. You can access it by clicking on the 'Show Symbols Panel' link in the menu to the right. For convenience, it will open in a new frame so that you can easily arrange your browser windows to view both this document and the symbols simultaneously.

Track Element Tables

The Track Element Tables include the following sections:

  • Plain track
  • Signals, Level Crossing, Catch Points, Shunt Limits, Detonator Placers
  • Simple Turnouts
  • Three-way Turnouts
  • Bridges, Crossings

"Seed" formations are shown against the multi-coloured marker. All other track elements may be derived from the relevant seed by "H" (horizontal) or "V" (vertical) keystrokes. Note the cyclic arrangement of tiles which means that if you continue moving in any direction you will return to your starting point.

Lever Colour Tables

The Lever Colour Tables include the following sections:

  • Lever tables

The "seed" formation is a white lever. All other lever colours may be derived from the white lever by "H" (horizontal) or "V" (vertical) keystrokes. Note the cyclic arrangement of tiles which means that if you continue moving in any direction you will return to your starting point.

Signal Detail Tables

The Signal Detail Tables include the following sections:

  • Post-mounted Signals
  • Ground Signals

The "seed" formation is an empty tile. All other signal arms or colour light heads may be derived from the blank tile by "H" (horizontal) or "V" (vertical) keystrokes. Note the cyclic arrangement of tiles which means that if you continue moving in any direction you will return to your starting point.
