Don't know why, but I cannot see any icons/pictures/smileys etc. All I have is little red boxes. Can read the posts though ... that's the main thing.

Sounds like a Norton Internet Security issue. If so, take a look at the security note on the MODRATEC site - it may point you in the right direction.
