cutting interlocking slots...

Post by Ian Kirby »

Hi,
After fixing the layout of signals, how does one determine what pattern of slots are required on the interlocking bars?
Regards, Ian.

Ian,

Do I understand that you have completed a SigScribe4 design, and you now want to know where to go from there?

If so, then you don't need to do anything further except to submit your design to MODRATEC who will generate the necessary parts and instructions detailing where to put locking pins (dogs) and where to file slots.

Does this help?
Happy training,

Thanks for the response. I only found your site quite recently, and have thus far only had a go at the tutorial exercise included with SigScribe4, so I am still a bit away from building or ordering anything just yet. Am I to understand that the layout of the locking pins and slots for any desired track arrangement and signal configuration is included in the price of the frame?
Also, did I read correctly that the entire width of a 6-lever frame is about 65mm?
Thanks, Ian Kirby
