You should be able to change the number of levers from Panels > Edit Lever Frame. However, I just tried it on build 876 and it doesn't work. This is obviously a bug which we'll work on as quickly as possible. Thanks for finding it.

This bug has been fixed at Build ID 871 which is now available for download. Many thanks to pathsearch for finding it.

You'll need to clear and then redefine routes if you want to reuse an existing .ss4 file.

SigScribe4: Installing a later build

To upgrade to a later build, simply install the new version over the top of the original version. Data files (*.ss4) will be transferable, although it is recommended that route definitions be refreshed by selecting "Define Route" for each signal lever before setting the interlocking.

The build ID of a version can now be accessed from the Help menu > About item. When making comments or enquiries regarding SigScribe4, it may be helpful to identify the build ID. Before build 836 this information is not accessible to the user.
