Mac OS X users of SigScribe4 with build ID less than 891 would not have been able to access the 'About' or 'Help' functions. MODRATEC apologises for this programming error. The corrected version is now available for download.

Railway Pictures site - good for avatars

Found a good site for copyright-friendly railway pics that you could reduce and crop as avatars. They are predominantly Australian scenes but a very good cross section of British, American and others.

The Avatars feature has now been activated on this board. That means that you can now upload a picture to be associated with your name for all of your postings. It adds a nice personal touch. You could use an actual photograph of yourself, a cartoon that expresses your personality, or perhaps your f...

SigScribe4: Registration Validation

We are aware that for a short period (perhaps a week) up to 25 March 2004, there was a problem with the registration form on the download page. If you had attempted to register SigScribe4 during that time and were visiting via the secure (SSL) link, it is probable that your registration failed - you...

Sounds like a Norton Internet Security issue. If so, take a look at the security note on the MODRATEC site - it may point you in the right direction.

Alex, As you can see from other posts, there was a problem that was fixed at build ID 877. That build was actually uploaded on 15/3 but you may have downloaded before the change. Check the build ID of your SigScribe4 - it's shown when you access Help > About. I suspect you are using 876. If so, just...

SigScribe4: Level Crossing lever action corrected

At build ID 881 the action of the brown lever has been corrected (at last  ). This will not invalidate any interlockings already saved. A related correction has also been made to the "Principles of Railway Signalling" article.
