Couple of pounds each. Probably more expensive than MODRATEC if you were ordering other stuff anyway, but useful to have a local source in case you manage to mangle the end of a pen (don't ask...).

Nikko Finepoint pens - availability in the UK

The Nikko Finepoint 0.2 permanent pens, recommended (and sold) by MODRATEC for marking up the brass parts of the kit, are available in the UK from Artworker Direct ( http://www.artworker.co.uk/ ). No online shop, but quick responses to email and easy telephone ordering. I have no connection with the...

Thanks - the other workaround I came up with was to define a short (one square) length of disconnected track, put a home signal on it, then interlock the signal with any levers that were unlocked. It worked the way round I wanted, in that all levers were locked normal when the "special" le...

File saving bug in 1.1.1 (7/Jul/05)?

From time to time, saving an existing file(*) will result in the file being saved in the parent directory of the the directory originally containing the file, and with a filename composed of the orignal directory name concatenated with original filename. Plain Text Config File

It would be nice if the .ss4 config file was in plain text, so that it was possible to check exactly what had been configured in the locking. It can be difficult to check exactly what has been specified through the GUI. Alternatively, a (printable) text summary generated from with SS4 would be nice....

Electric turnout control?

I want to control my turnouts from a MODRATEC frame using Wire-in-Tube - so far so good. But I need to control just a couple of turnouts electrically, because I don't want to run WiT across a baseboard join. Can I do this with the optional MODRATEC switches? Usually I would control electric point mo...
