Can any body tell me what a clearance bar is and is it anthing like a facing points lock? i'v seen it on English signal diagrams but I dont know what it is.

What is AAR please?

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't think that right but. There is always just one of these levers at every ground frame and it goes black white black white stripes all the way down the lever. Any other suggestions.
