What are Slots?

For an interlocked Lever Frame, you need to specify how many Slots are needed to hold the required Locking Bars. You can only determine this number definitively by completing your interlocking design using our SigScribe4 software. If you simply need a rough guide to price, then use the figures in the table below. The 12-Lever Frame illustrated on our Home Page has 5 Slots.

What is Conditional Locking?

For an interlocked Lever Frame, you need to specify whether or not your frame requires conditional locking. You can only know this definitively by completing your interlocking design using our SigScribe4 software. (You need at least version 1.1.11 for conditional locking.) As a general guide, if you are using the frame for speed signalling, or if your layout requires multi-route signals controlled by a single lever, then you will probably need conditional locking.
