TOOWOOMBA EXHIBITION - ALWAYS A GREAT SHOW
If you feel like enjoying a trip to the fresh mountain air of southern
Queensland, please visit the Toowoomba Model Train Exhibition being held on
31st May and 1st June. Details (and discount voucher!) are available here:
http://www.ddmrc.com.au/
We will have our demonstration layout running so you can see how our WIT
system and interlocking lever frames work in a practical setting. Please
come and try your hand as the signaller. It's a lot of fun!
We also have a new demonstration frame so that you can see how an Eemeck
electrical
release works, in this case enabling line-clear locking of a starting
signal.
As always, we will have plenty of stock, all at our usual
surprisingly-affordable-prices. Our WIT Starter Packs are always
particularly popular.
Consider our Point Motor Pulser units that allow you to safely and reliably
operate traditional double-solenoid point motors from simple on-off toggle
switches (or from our lever frames). Turn the switch on (or pull a lever)
and the points move and stay one way; turn the switch off (or push the lever
back) and the points revert to their original position.
Our stand at the Brisbane show at the beginning of May was very popular and
we had a great time. We look forward to meeting you in Toowoomba this year.
2015 CALENDAR - GET SNAPPING
Following the success of our 2014 Wall Calendar, Exploring Railways and
Signals, we are inviting people to submit photographs to be considered for
our 2015 offering.
The ideal photo shows a railway as a beautiful thing that is particularly
enhanced by the presence of signals. The railway may be ancient or modern,
prototype or model. Signals may be semaphore or colour-light. Trains may be
old or new. Locations may be anywhere that railways run and signals exist.
We need our 2015 calendar to be ready for publication by the end of August
this year, so we do need your photos AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Please send your
shots to pics@MODRATEC.com . If your photo is used, you will be fully
acknowledged and receive a complimentary copy of the calendar.
Keep sending the right signals!
