DISTANT SIGNAL INTERLOCKING

Post by RedFred »

Some SigScribe4 users seem to be having difficulty understanding how to interlock Distant signals with corresponding Stop signals. The Tutorial in the Help document illustrates the principles, but the following may also be useful.

Usual (British) practice is to interlock a Distant signal with all following Stop signals. To do this, each corresponding Stop signal route must be included as a sub-route of the Distant signal.

Firstly, define the routes for each of the Stop signals. When that's done, select 'Define Route' for the Distant signal. While still in the route definition mode for the Distant signal, for each of the required Stop signals, select 'Include Sub' - the letter under the lever will change from X to Z.

And that's all there is to it. I hope this helps.
Happy training,
